  आईच्या फराळाच्या डब्यावर डोळा ठेवून बसलेला मी ,  आणि " जपून खा , सगळ्यांना वाटायचंय " म्हणत ओरडणारी आई ! आजीच्या हातची चव जपणारी सुगरण ती माझी ,  " अजून थोडं मीठ घाला " म्हणत फिरते सगळ्या भांड्यांमधी ! दिवाळी म्हणजे ...  रांगोळी काढताना पूर्ण घर रंगवणं ,  आणि शेवटी सगळं पुसून ' नवीन प्रयत्न ' करणं ! पाहुणे आले की फराळाचा डबा लपवणारी भावंडं ,  आणि " अहो या ना , या ना " म्हणत त्यांना आवर्जून वाढणारी   ती आई ! कपड्यांच्या दुकानात जाऊन वैतागणारा नवरा ,  " हे घे ना ... नाही ते घे ... अरे , दोन्ही घे ना !" म्हणणारी बायको , बिचारा ! अशीच ही दिवाळी येते वर्षानुवर्षे ,  रोजच्या आयुष्यात भरते रंग नवे नवे ! तर मग या दिवाळीत साजरी करू आपण ,  क्षणांची ही किमया , नात्यांची ही माया !  आनंदाचा हा सण , प्रकाशाचा हा क्षण !                                           ...

  In this world full of life, where things take their toll,  I was born as a clay, as an unshaped soul. Unchosen were the faces, surrounding my birth,  Place, religion, and parents, bestowed upon me on Earth. My journey began in a world which was completely unknown, I was Moulded by the hands of time, as seeds of life were sown. A lot of people, in my life, they came, Each with a story, each with a claim. Now my mind is full of thoughts, big and wide,  Good and bad, side by side.  Within my mortal frame, feelings rise and fall,  Guiding my actions, big and small.
